Becoming π
"The privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are" Carl Jung .
Isn't it peculiar that one of the simplest yet often perceived as the most arduous tasks in life is to embrace one's authentic self?
Recently, a friend introduced me to the teachings of Fr. Richard Rohr, a spiritual thinker who delves into the concept of BEING. As a Christian, I understand that we are all created in the image of God, implying that embodying our true selves is akin to reflecting God's essence. Rohr further elaborates that at the core of our being, rooted in God, is love.
However, our perception has been clouded by a culture of insecurity, competition, and lack of love, largely influenced by the Western interpretation of God. This distortion has led us to believe that we must mold ourselves to fit into this flawed universe.
Yet, deep down, I know that true happiness, fulfillment, and impact can only stem from being our true selves. Thus, it becomes not just a challenge but also a responsibility for each of us (starting with meπ) to shed the layers of pretense and embrace our true essence. This, I believe is the least we can do to express gratitude to God.
In the words of Steve Jobs, 'Your time is limited, don't waste it living someone else's life.'"

So good yes the essence of our being is within us .Our true authentic self is within not somewhere else and our responsibility to fully embrace and "BE".this is a beautiful reminder .
ReplyDelete@Joy thankyou. I wonder why it scares us to just BE.
